With an 800 year old shortbread recipe, a pilgrimage past and made in a humble scallop shell, the Aberffraw biscuit is thriving as one of the most celebrated biscuits of Wales. In the 8th Century, Welsh Pilgrims wore a badge in the shape of a scallop shell on their hats for their famous journey to Santiago de Compostela. Even today, our biscuits are made in exactly the same way and look just as beautiful as a shell from the Aberffraw Shore.
INGREDIENTS: Plain Flour (WHEAT, Calcium Carbonate, Thiamin, Niacin, Iron), Butter (MILK) (32%), Caster Sugar, Cocoa Powder (10%) (Acidity Regulator: Potassium Carbonate).
